Saying that he would be happy to earn in Italy what he earns in Cairo, but that that seems impossible--he is overwhelmed with expenses for his mother and ten brothers--, mentioning the Messa di [sic] Requiem "del grande nostro Maestro" [i.e. Verdi], Maria Waldmann, etc.
